Valyd starts with one question: is a live human actually here? Everything else — what an AI agent may do on your behalf, and what an employer can verify — is built on that answer.

You look at the camera
The scan takes a few seconds on your phone or the booth device. No typing, no documents, no account forms.

Liveness is checked first
Before anything else, Valyd confirms a live human is present — not a photo, a screen replay, a mask, or a deepfake video feed.

Your face becomes an encrypted vector
The image is converted into an encrypted mathematical representation. The raw picture is discarded — it is never stored and never shown to employers.

That vector becomes your Valyd ID
Next time you scan, the new vector is matched against the stored one. Same person, same ID — across events, devices, and sessions.

You set what AI may do
Your Valyd ID is what an agent's authority hangs off. You choose which actions are allowed, which need your approval, and which are blocked.

Every action carries proof
When your agent acts, Valyd signs an ActionProof binding the verified person, the granted authority, and the action itself. The employer verifies the proof — not your face.
What we keep — and don’t
No raw face images stored
Only an encrypted biometric vector is kept. It cannot be reversed into a photo of you.
Employers never see biometrics
They receive a signed proof: person verified, authority granted, action taken. No face, no ID document.
You can request deletion
Ask us to remove your Valyd ID and the associated conference records at any time.
Questions people ask at the booth
- Is this facial recognition surveillance?
- No. There is no watchlist and no matching against third-party databases. The check compares you against your own enrolled vector, only when you choose to verify.
- What stops a deepfake or a printed photo?
- Liveness runs before matching. Screens, prints, masks, and synthetic video feeds fail that stage, so no vector is ever produced for them.
- Do I need an ID document?
- Not for the conference demo. A face check is enough to create a Valyd ID. Document-backed verification can be layered on later where a job or employer requires it.
- What does the employer actually receive?
- An ActionProof record: that a verified real person authorized the action, what authority they granted, when, and which agent acted. Nothing biometric leaves Valyd.
